Magmahal Ka Na Ng Gamer, 'Wag Lang Ng Player

We met way back in 2013, in the most unexpected time. We started off as workmates, and then we became best friends. I was (and still am) a fan of Linya-Linya and an avid reader of Saab Magalona’s blog. Nalaman ko na mahilig siya sa statement shirts -- as in kahit anong statement shirts -- so, I introduced him to my favorite shirt brand. We bonded over video games and Linya-Linya throughout our relationship. Sobrang chill lang namin, but of course we experience petty fights here and there -- mga tampuhan, ganun -- but at the end of the day, nagbabati rin kami. Patience, understanding, and accountability lang din talaga ang naging formula namin to make this relationship work.

A few years into the relationship, nagbakasyon kami sa Shangri-La Mactan sa Cebu. Eventually, he took out the box and proposed to me. I said, “yes!”

To me, it is always better to start off as friends, because romance will fade when you get older. Pero yung samahan niyo, it will last till the end. Magandang foundation siya, because you and your partner should and will always be a team.

He proved to me and my family how much he will always cherish our relationship. He never took me for granted, and same with me to him. I look forward to more years with you, Lui. -Meryll Kae, 29.
